The Mississippi Governor's Mansion was first occupied in 1842, and is the second oldest continuously occupied governor's residence in the country. The mansion is open for tours on Tuesdays through Fridays (except for the last two weeks in December and for state functions) from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Guided tours are given every half-hour beginning at 9:30 a.m., with the last tour beginning at 11 a.m. Admission is free.
